Refined content space
This visualization is the right companion to the first essay because it shows how a content-first geometry begins to organize the otherwise inhumanly large search space.
This rendering groups pitch content classes by a refinement stronger than interval content alone. Three things to keep in mind:
- Each point is a content class — a pitch-class set up to transposition/inversion equivalence.
- Colors and clusters reflect families of spectrally similar content, not arbitrary groupings.
- This is still only a 2D projection of a much richer object. For an interactive view that preserves shell structure, adjacency, and local order fibers, see the Layered Bundle Explorer.
